A Toast to Elopements & Microweddings

Over the years, I have noticed that Elopements and Intimate Weddings are typically more popular in the West Coast over the East Coast. Ever since the March 2020, the idea of elopements & microweddings have become even more popular than ever. Though the surge in popularity is due more to necessity than purely wanting to have this kind of wedding, we are living for it. While I love everything that goes into a big traditional wedding, I have made the choice at the beginning of my business to only photograph elopements and intimate weddings. Elopements can be whatever you want them to be, whether it’s just the two of you or a couple family members; whether it takes place at a destination location or your favorite field two towns over. I consider intimate weddings and microweddings to be the couple and 50 or less guests. Intimate weddings usually still follow the flow of a traditional big wedding, but a little less pressure with less people involved.

You get to focus more on each other. When there are less people around you automatically are more focused in on one another, which is the way it should be! People always say that your wedding day will fly by and that is so true. Your day is about the two of you, your story together, and your love for one another. When there are a ton of people you become more concerned with making sure your guests are having a good time rather than enjoying your newlywed bliss! Still want to party with everyone? Another fave trend for this is having your Elopement/Intimate Wedding and then having a celebration party at a later date.
