I know that summer break has just begun, so who really wants to start thinking about ways to fundraise? Probably not you, but I think that now is actually an amazing time to start thinking about what your school or organization has planned for the upcoming school year. I want to help all of you fundraising organizers say goodbye to the days of car washes, bake sales, and magazine/gift wrap fundraising (or at least give you an alternative to one of these...here's looking at you magazine fundraising). I want to help by giving an option that families will love and actually want to participate in. Say hello to KDP's Photo Marathons!
If I do say so myself, it is actually a pretty easy peasy way to fundraise. Here's how it works:
1. We work together to set a date(s) for the Photo Marathon and talk about your fundraising goals. By working together we can come up with a session price that will be beneficial for the families and your goals. The day(s) of choosing will be the only time for the families to participate. It makes it one big event, and believe me we can definitely throw in a bake sale for the day too. #fundraisinggoals
2. Families will pick their time slot for their photos on the pre-booked dates. There will be a non-refundable deposit that will count towards the session price that must be collected at the time of reservation. Each session will be 30 minutes long and all at the same location. It's a marathon, so we are doing back to back sessions that day.
3. At the end of the day, all those that have participated will have had an unforgettable experience. Each families digital gallery will be made available within 48 hours of the session date. They will have the ability to purchase prints online through the gallery.
20% of all session fees and all print purchases will be donated to the hosting school/organization.
